Addi's Great Idea
by E.E. Curtis

Addi sat up and grabbed his arm. "What if we play the game, but actually do the stuff the cards say, like in real life?"

Tucker shook off Addi's hand. "Addi, you're crazy. How are we supposed to do that?"

"We make it into a game, with rules and everything!"

Sometimes it's hard being a girl with

big ideas.

Not Really Gone

By E. E. Curtis

Tomorrow is my first day of high school Mom. I’m a tiny bit scared. My first day of high school Mom. How could you miss it?

Rumi found her. She thought she was sleeping at first. Now she can't go near the garage where her mother committed suicide, she's given up her art, and she has to navigate the new world of high school while still reeling from grief.

Some things will help her along the way, like the notes in her mother's handwriting that start showing up in her bedroom, and the boy in the neon 80's coat who used to be popular but is now an outcast.

Written in a literary style, Not Really Gone is my first YA novel dealing with themes of suicide, grief, and hope. I am currently seeking an agent to represent this work.
